Saying No Is Still A Viable Option

  • Category: Authority Mindset

I’ve been noticing something interesting the last few weeks in shelter-in-place mode: it seems like many of us are saying no less often.

This may be a function of our mindsets rather than some new trend—after all, we’re mostly all in some sort of serving mode with our clients and tribes.

But it is still curious. I’m hazarding a guess that we’re saying no less often because our natural inclination is to double down and help more people when times are hard.

And that’s a good thing.

And yet, saying no to the right things is still a viable option.

It’s a tried and true strategy to keep us focused on our mission while keeping our personal resilience reserves topped off.
