Is It Time To Build Your Authority Platform?

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from years of doing deep brand work, building authority in countless niches, it’s that everyone wishes they had started sooner.
Because once you’ve honed in on your market space and positioning, the real work of building your authority begins.
Is it time to build your authority platform?
If any of the following are true (and bugging you), I’m gonna venture YES is the right answer:
You’re not getting enough interesting, challenging work.
You’re so busy with uninspiring work that you feel stuck on a hamster wheel, unable to get off.
You don’t have a full pipeline of your sweet-spot clients clamoring to work with you.
Your clients keep fighting you over fees, so you feel like you’re racing to the bottom.
You have a big idea you’re hot to develop, but can’t figure out how to fund the mission.
Your competitors (who just aren’t as good as you) are getting the lion’s share of attention in your niche—and their fees are way higher than yours.
Becoming a visible, trusted authority in your area of expertise leads to some pretty amazing outcomes: more interesting work; better fit clients; higher fees; the satisfaction of seeing your mission at work out in the world; a platform to share and socialize your point of view.
But it’s not a one-and-done kind of thing. It’s more of a drip, by drip, by drip until you literally couldn’t stop the momentum if you tried.
And, like most things you want to accomplish in life, the key is to start.
So let me make it easy for you. I’m kicking off a new daily email list. Today.
Think (mostly) short missives with a relentless focus on what it takes to keep building your authority while growing your business. Stories, observations, experiments, how-to’s.
It’s about making sure you’re consistently raising your head above the day-to-day client tango and investing in your thought leadership, your platform and your big idea. How will you transform your audience? How will your ideas be heard and shared?
This is for you if you’re ready to breach some boundaries—especially consultants, creative entrepreneurs, thought leaders and freelancers (current and aspiring) committed to discovering your true voice, building your platform and claiming your place in the market.
If I’m singing your tune, just sign up here and I’ll add you to the list.
It feels big to commit to writing daily and I’d love to have you with me as I develop deeper, richer content…
