Are You Taking The Right Calculated Risks?

You know when you find the perfect visual for something you’ve been trying to explain?

Check out this video (start at the 23:45 minute mark) of master surfer Makua Rothman tackling a 100-foot wave. And that music? Chills…

Hitting a 100-foot wave is a major risk—even for a pro. If say you or I tackled that wave, they’d be planning our funeral.

But here’s the thing.

You calculate your risk—in any profession—based on your experience and your read of the situation.

Just like surfing, when it comes to building authority, nobody starts with a mega wave. We start small, work out the kinks and keep moving our way up.

And unlike surfing, when we mess up—which we will if we keep taking risks—we don’t die.

We just brush ourselves off and take the next calculated risk to get where we want to go.

So here’s the question: are you taking the right calculated risks now for where you want to take your authority business?
