Sanity + Building Authority
I just saw this piece in The Science Times about how a Swedish chef on a one-year stint in Antarctica is dealing with extreme isolation.
Her prescription for sanity is essentially this: exercise, good food, meditation, reading, writing, interacting virtually and work.
Which sounds to me like the exact Rx for building your authority during this situation.
Keep your body healthy, feed your mind and spirit and share liberally with those in your circle.
The only thing I’d add is this: once you’re properly fortified (i.e. your resilience tank is full) create first and then consume.
Because especially when times are stressful, you want to be sure your best energy goes to your own creations.
