It’s Time To Use Powerful Words (Even If Your Marketplace Sucks Right Now)

Soloists are dealing with a mixed business bag right now—some are largely unaffected (or even on the upswing), others are facing a COVID-like reckoning, while many (maybe you?) are being hit with revenue disruptions.
There is one small trick to keeping your head focused on the right things: using powerful language (including when you talk to yourself).
It’s even more important right now, when dramatic change—chaos even—is swirling around us. Are you talking like a baller or like you’re circling the drain?
We’re not talking about idiotic confidence while the world we knew goes up in flames (there’s a few of those on LinkedIn and they’re not fooling anybody). Instead, this is about choosing powerful words as you react to unexpected circumstances in your business.
Words that help. Words that build. Words that inspire.
Words that help you believe that you and your people will find a way through this moment in time.
Words that show how to navigate through uncertainty and come out the other side.
Words that show your people you see them—who they are, what they’re experiencing and how they’re feeling—now and in the future.
The specific words will vary based on you and the needs of your audience. But make no mistake—they are watching you for signs that you’re in this for the long haul.
Give them something to remember.
