Waiting For Perfection

It is sooooo tempting to wait until everything is perfect.
Before you hit send, before you say yes, before you launch that “thing” you’ve been working on.
But here’s the deal.
Waiting for perfection is a fool’s errand (says this fool who has fallen for the myth of perfection countless times).
If you want to practice letting go of any perfectionist tendencies, try sharing an idea—like say the pre-announcement email I passed around last week—with a few of your peeps.
I can pretty much guarantee they’ll see it through different eyes than yours. And if you choose well, they’ll point out things you wouldn’t have caught (like being off a time zone).
Or they’ll challenge your thinking in ways that stretch you and open your perspective.
Perfection is the enemy of authority.
